Cabrera Services Selected as 2009 Regional Subcontractor of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Region I

Cabrera Services, Inc. (CABRERA) an environmental radiological remediation services firm headquartered in East Hartford, CT, is pleased to announce it is the winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 2009 Region I Subcontractor of the Year award.

The award was presented to Mr. Cabrera, CEO of Cabrera Services, at the award ceremony conducted during the Small Business Week meeting held in Washington, DC at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.  Following the award ceremony, Mr. Cabrera was invited to attend a briefing given by President Obama at the White House.  The President commended the achievements of small business owners and encouraged the creation of new businesses. Cabrera Services topped other businesses successfully performing as subcontractors in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont for this prestigious award. 

Mr. David Pritchard, Procurement Manager, from West Valley Environmental Services, LLC, nominated Cabrera based on their superior quality of work and delivery of performance on the West Valley Demonstration Project in the State of New York.

Cabrera Services, Inc. provides high tech science and engineering support primarily to the federal government for remediating sites contaminated with chemicals and radioactive material.
